About

I live in Chicago with my orange tabby boy, Artemis. I currently work for Posit, an open-source data science company. I strive to create accessible experiences which can be used by everyone. In my spare time, I like working on linoleum printmaking, traveling, personal coding projects, and trying out new restaurants.

Accessibility is Essential

Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web says, “The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect.” Accessibility should be incorporated in every step of the process. It cannot be left as an add-on at the end of development. With the guidance of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), I build features that are usable by all folks.

Designers + Developers = Friends

The relationship between designers and developers is crucial. Early collaboration and regular design syncs are two ways I prefer to work with design teams. It allows both parties to be on the same page and overcome challenges in the process. To me, having a healthy partnership between design and development is a requirement at any company.
